Pale Brindled Beauty

My first moth of the year and it's a beautifull one at that. Pale Brindled Beauty, first time I have used my Canon100mm IS USM and 580XII on any insect form and flash being my main form of lighting with it being a misreble day I think the results are pretty good!

Desert Wheater

After a long wait I finnaly managed to persuade my dad to take me to Bempton Cliffs to see the male Desert Wheater there. And it didn't disapoint! The bird showed well at clos range allowing good photographic opportunities, although due to mistakes on my part half of the images were underexposed. This has put me of working in manual mode for good now! I have managed to save them by editing but ibviously not as good a quality. I also got another lifer in Shag. And amaged 6 year ticks throughout the day. Gannets and Fulmers were around the cliffs and on the sea. Nothing moving on the sea just a couple of long range waders. Also some Guilliemot on the sea no Razorbills, Puffins or Kittiwakes yet. On route home we decided to stop off at Hornsea mere as I have never been before, I didnt realise how big it was! nothing really of note there apart from 2 Dunlin, A Swan goose/Greylag goose hybrid and a Juv Gull that I cant identify. Also tday I walked around the village looking for Snipe and found A Woodcock my 100th Bird of the year :)
